"All of Life vibrates in harmonic proportions. OM is the Harmony that weaves the tapestry of interdependent relationships, the dance of energy, the dynamic breathing in and out of the infinite consciousness. OM is the music of the universe. OM is the essence of Being restoring peace, harmony, laughter and love." ~Deepak Chopra

OMmmmmmm!
CHAKRA - Sanskrit term denoting one of seven major
energy centers situated along the spine, plus scores of minor
centers throughout the body. These correspond roughly to
the nerve junctions ('little brains') where nerves from every part
of the body join the spinal cord. The chakras are described as
being aligned in an ascending column from the base of the spine
to the top of the head. In new age practices, each chakra is
associated with a certain color. In various traditions chakras are
associated with multiple physiological functions, an aspect of
consciousness, a classical element, and other distinguishing
characteristics. They are visualised as lotuses with a different
number of petals in every chakra. Many Indian and Chinese
modalities, especially acupuncture, focus on re-establishing the
free flow of energy throughout the chakras.
YOGA - is an ancient Indian mind/body practice
which traditionally prescribes physical postures and
movements (asana), breathwork (pranayama), diet, ethics,
concentration and meditation in order to live skillfully and
to achieve emancipation (samadhi). Practicing yoga
re-aligns the physical body by stretching, toning and
improving circulation and releasing tension that has been
locked in the body. There are many branches of yoga
which stress various practices, ranging from Hatha
Yoga's emphasis on asana, to Raja Yoga's emphasis on
meditation, to Bakti Yoga's emphasis on devotion and to
Tantra Yoga's emphasis on expansion of
awareness--seeing the body temple as divine and
worshipping the goddess energy. The many styles of
Hatha Yoga popular among Americans include Iyengar,
Anusara, Ashtanga-Power Yoga, Kundalini, and Kripalu.
